New instrumental genres

The baroque opera derived in the emergence of new forms of instrumental expression for his specialization and organizational needs. From the opera and the ballet there arose pieces lacking in singing as overtures and intervals, as well as the symphony of opera, which in Venice was called a canzonas overture, with a slow section and rapid other one, turned then into tripartite French overtures. Meanwhile in Naples there was born a symphony of opera of three parts that was touching in the concerts of the academies. This way there arose instrumental works of programmatic or incidental character, which they answered to a source of external inspiration to the music, like the aquatic and Musical Music for the real Haendel fireworks. Also they were consisting canzonas of sounding, that were emulating the singing with the instruments; intradas, that were used to paint a personage on having entered the operatic scene; and ritornellos, used like introduction, interlude and end of the sung pieces. Also, consolidated instrumental forms stood out time later.

Baroque

Suite

Between the court dances of the Renaissance, the suite or series of dances of the Baroque gathered especially the succession of slow and rapid instrumental pieces, of opposite characters. During the XVIIth century German suites composers stood out for band as Hassler, Schein and Scheidt, which then Rosenmüller joined creating suites with introduction (or symphonies) or J. S. Bach, Haendel and Telemann, which will denote the French influence in his overtures. The French orchestral suite arises from the same one and from that of the ballet, starting with an overture followed by French dances of the epoch. His principal exponents were Lully and Rameau.

Baroque

Sonata in Trio

On the fínal of the XVIIth century, Arcangelo Corelli stood out for the sonatas creation in trio, being the first Italian composer of the epoch dedicated only to the instrumental music.
Most of these works are composed by four movements that keep the slow order - rápido-lento-rápido, initiating with a prelude followed by two or three dances of the suite.
Leeway of the sonata gives chiesa (of church) and sonata gives for a three-quarter bed (of camera) and it is orchestrated for two sharp instruments (in general, violins) and burden one like a violoncello.
Baroque

Sonata

The first sonatas for violin, the sonatas of camera and the first suites of the XVIIth century give place to a musical form that is consolidated in the XVIIIth and it caused most of the classic musical forms, from the symphony or the quartet of ropes, which approach increasingly the sonatas for band or instrumental sets.
Like that were born the first sonatas for key of Johann Kuhnau, who created a form with prelude and escape, adagio, allegro and piece gives boss that recovered J. S. Bach. Along with Domenico Scarlatti, the form sonata advances towards a finished tonal plan. This evolution, which would end with the classic sonatas of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, came to his definitive form with Carl Philipp Emanuel, the most famous son of Bach.
